Update - 11/1/21

Brisbane Lockdown Covid Update 3 – Restrictions Easing

The QLD Premier has made an announcement that the lockdown of the Greater Brisbane area ends at 6:00pm 11 January 2021. The clubhouse will re-open at 10am on Tuesday the 12th of January 2021.

While the lockdown has been lifted, some restrictions will still apply to Clubs in the Greater Brisbane area for 10 days until 1am on Friday, 22 January.

Restrictions relevant to Ashgrove Golf Club:

  • Masks do not need to be worn by patrons attending the Clubhouse or playing golf. The reason for this is because Clubs are collecting contract tracing information from patrons;
  • Masks must be worn by front of house staff. This will not apply to back of house staff;
  • You don’t need to wear a mask while outdoors at a safe distance from other people, however it is important to carry a mask on you at all times;
  • Patrons must again be seated while eating and drinking and there is to be no dancing, except at weddings. Patrons may still approach the bar and other self-service terminals and generally move about the Club to enter and exit, use the bathroom etc., but must be seated while eating and drinking;
  • Internally, Clubs must revert to the one person per four square metre rule (105 inside the main clubhouse); and externally, Clubs may continue with the existing one person per two square meter rule (54 on the deck).
  • Golf will revert to pre lockdown conditions - groups of 4, competitions etc.

We have been asked by the Chief Health Officer (CHO) to reiterate to our members how important it is to ensure contact tracing information is being gathered, in light of the current situation.
The CHO has advised that if there are no cases of community transmission, the above restrictions will lift at 1:00am on Friday, 22 January 2021.
Other conditions for members to note:

  • Stay at home if you are unwell
  • Practice social distancing of 1.5m
  • Utilise sanitising stations and wash hands regularly
  • Observe signage in and around the clubhouse
  • Do not congregate in areas such as the pro shop or congested areas

Zegatos Restaurant reopens for dinner at 5pm on Tuesday the 12th of January. Sandwiches are available for purchase from the pro shop.

The Pro Shop is OPEN

Hole 12

Men - Par 4 - 326m
Ladies - Par 4 - 291m

A dogleg left hole that sees anything left go into the creek, and anything right hit the ridge and lose distance and position. Either of these two outcomes makes par a difficult score. The drive landing area sees an approach of approx. 110 to 140 metres to a green that is protected by a bunker either side with more trouble at the back.

Pro Tip: Excellent Short Par 4 Dog Leg: A fairway wood, rescue club or long iron is all that is needed for your tee shot
